Munich – The investigation against Wiesn host Peter Reichert has been discontinued.
This was confirmed by the Munich public prosecutor.
Reichert, host of the Bräurosl, was involved in a fight in front of his tent during the Oktoberfest 2022, whereupon a complaint was filed against him.
"Against payment of a four-digit amount of money," the proceedings have now been discontinued, according to the public prosecutor's office.

Despite this incident, the Paulaner brewery will again apply for the Bräurosl with Reichert, who operated this tent for the first time in 2022.
The contract with him is valid until 2023, said a company spokesman.
That's why Reichert will be suggested again as the host for the Wiesn.
The operation of a Wiesn tent is associated with considerable investments, which is why the contracts are not only concluded for one year.
However, the application is subject to the proviso that the city of Munich confirms the reliability of the innkeeper.
It is currently still unclear whether Reichert will be the Oktoberfest host in 2023.
Wiesn boss Clemens Baumgärtner (CSU) told our editorial team on Thursday that the economic department would carefully examine this.
"The legal situation is one thing, the emotional assessment of the matter is another." After the fight, "a bad feeling" remains.
In addition, the KVR also checks Reichert's gastronomic reliability - due to a breach of food hygiene.
In general, the application period for Oktoberfest hosts ends on December 31st.
Baumgärtner assumes that all hosts who were active in 2022 should be able to apply again.
The city will make a final decision on approvals in March.
