The carabinieri intervened in Locate di Triulzi (Milan), near Cascina Nesporedo, where a 40-year-old woman, resident in the area, reported having been raped.
According to the first statements provided to the military, a man would have blocked her behind her while she was jogging, dragged her into a grove and raped her.
The woman, in shock, alerted 112 as soon as the man left, and was transported in yellow code to the Mangiagalli hospital in Milan.
The Carabinieri of the Milan Investigation Unit and the Compagnia di San Donato are on the spot, investigating to reconstruct the story.
"If the initial information were confirmed - says
Romano La Russa
, Lombardy's regional councilor for security and immigration -, the person responsible for this very serious act could be yet another non-EU citizen of African origin. Milan and its hinterland are paying the price of hospitality at all costs, desired by a certain left that has opened the doors to unscrupulous characters, who arrived in our country only to commit a crime".
"We must
militarize parks
in order to avoid as much as possible situations like today's which, once again, penalize women who suffer rape, violence and assaults by criminals".
The proposal was launched by
the deputy of Fratelli d'Italia, Riccardo De Corato,
Vice-President of the Constitutional Affairs Commission.
"In recent days - writes De Corato, former regional councilor of Lombardy and former deputy mayor of Milan - the Undersecretary of Defense Isabella Rauti, during a meeting in Milan with the Prefect, reiterated the particular attention of the current Government to the issue of Security, guaranteeing the continuation of the 'Safe Streets' operation which sees the military on the streets of the city. Considering that the new executive has made these men available, why not let them also go to the parks and 'more delicate' wooded areas, or those in which there is a strong presence of offenders, drug dealers and rapists?".
