Two dead and one injured in accident on A27

Two people died in a traffic accident on Autobahn 27 near Geestland, and another person was critically injured.

According to initial findings, two cars were involved in the accident on Friday afternoon, said a police spokesman at the accident site.

The accident happened between the Debstedt and Neuenwalde junctions (Cuxhaven district).

Cuxhaven – Apart from the three people, no one else is said to have been injured.

It was initially unclear how the accident happened.

The police wanted to provide more information during the course of Friday.

The Autobahn 27 is closed in the direction of Cuxhaven.

Road users are asked to drive around the route as far as possible.

According to the Lower Saxony traffic management center, traffic was backed up on Friday afternoon in front of the accident site over a distance of four kilometers.

In addition to rescue workers, an expert and forensic technician are also on duty at the scene of the accident, said the police spokesman.
