Today, the Arab Cultural Center in the city of Daraa organized a celebration on the occasion of the National Day to encourage reading, under the title (My book is my window with a letter and a color).
The celebration included a theatrical performance entitled “Science is the lamp of Daji”, presented by Al-Areen Ensemble, written and directed by Abdullah Al-Hassan, and a purposeful art painting entitled “Stand and Meditate”, presented by the Hittin School, trained by Ruwaida Omais, and a poem inspired by the occasion presented by the child Bodour Al-Omari, entitled “The Arabic Language The Lady of Languages.
The head of the Arab Cultural Center, Fahd Al-Aboud, pointed out in a statement to SANA reporter that it is necessary to encourage and educate children and young adults to read and read in order to expand their intellectual perceptions, enrich their talents and develop their imagination, pointing out that this event mixed entertainment and interest, with the aim of conveying the idea of the importance of reading and books.
In turn, Al-Hassan mentioned that the celebration was held on the occasion of the National Day to encourage reading, and based on the importance of the book and its role in the process of linking and communicating between the past and the future, indicating that the participants in presenting the activities tried to introduce children and youth to the civilization and history of the ancestors.
The little girl Al-Omari expressed her happiness to participate in an activity that focuses on the Arabic language, and from this standpoint she chose a poem entitled “The Arabic Language, the Lady of Languages,” indicating that she tried to introduce her peers to the letters of the alphabet and their meanings and implications in the Arabic language.
