NUREMBERG - It's a sad one-year anniversary that Tyson suffered on Tuesday (December 20).
Exactly one year ago, his owners simply abandoned him in front of the animal shelter in Nuremberg.
And that just before Christmas.
It took months before the animal rights activists were able to release the traumatized dog for adoption.

Dog Tyson simply abandoned in front of the animal shelter – “it makes you cry”
The reason for the Facebook call is anything but nice, but rather "to cry".
Tyson had to go through a lot when he was young.
"People can just be cruel." His former owners bought Tyson, were then overwhelmed and simply abandoned him in the evening in front of the Nuremberg animal shelter.
The Dobermann was just under a year old at the time.
"The owners were known to us, help was offered from many quarters, but unfortunately they were neither willing to train him properly nor did they want to spend money on it." So they chose the cruelest path for Tyson.
Because of his past, Tyson is not easy.
"He has a problem with strangers and needs a lot of time for that." He also has a deficit in processing environmental stimuli.
The four-legged friend reacts “very hysterically” to cyclists, joggers, walkers or strangers.
Animal rights activists have made good progress.
"He has developed a loving relationship with his caregiver, he is affectionate, cuddly and 'Dobi-typical' a puppet." He gets along well with other dogs.
Dog Tyson needs medication - "We really hope for a happy ending"
Tyson is currently on thyroid medication.
He knows the muzzle and wears it calmly, according to the animal shelter.
"We are looking for responsible, dog-experienced people who are aware of working with Tyson, have enough time for it and who, with calm and patient guidance, will enable the dog to lead a normal dog life."
The dog will only be placed in a rural, low-stimulus environment.
