Al-Adiyat Association hosted a plastic art exhibition entitled “Expressions and Faces”, with the participation of 20 male and female artists who presented 30 works of art in different styles and schools.

The coordinator of the exhibition, the artist and plastic researcher, Hussain Saqour, the official of the Central Exhibitions and Galleries Office, explained to SANA reporter that the aim of holding the exhibition is to devote cooperation between generations and provide an opportunity for young artists to display their artistic productions, explaining that the participating paintings deal with the subject of portraiture and some of the still life paintings, so they were titled “Expressions and Faces.” ".

Suqur also gave a lecture entitled “The Plastic Identity”, in which he examined the concepts of the plastic identity, pointing to some fallacies in the concept of painting, and that the composition as a concept is the work on the form, whether it is transferred from the direct reality with its literalness or playing on it through the processes of modification, simplification, addition and deletion.

And the head of the Plastic Artists Union branch in Lattakia, Farid Raslan, stated that holding such exhibitions is an enrichment for the plastic art movement, noting its development through the efforts of young and interested artists, hoping that these young people will reach more mature stages in terms of the technique and methods they adopt.

The participation of the artist, Atlal Shamlat, came with a painting titled “Respect then Love” using acrylic colors, with the harmony of black and red colors and lighting, to show the power of the idea that makes women brighter with love.

The artist and engineer, Afraa Marwa, participated in drawing the nature of the Ibn Hani area, depicting the beauty of the sea, the beach, and the sanctity of the place, using a brush and oil colors transparently.

The agricultural engineer and plastic artist, Zainab Hassan, embodied femininity with a painting entitled Waiting, and the artist Gulnar Shahoud from the “I Draw My Dream” association participated in two paintings, embodying faces of people in the style of expressive realism, and the artist Maya Al-Shab presented a portrait in an impressionistic expressionist style.

For his part, the young artist Khader Habib from the Phoenix Studio participated in a painting using the method of drawing with charcoal and lead.
