Drunk BMW driver (19) crashes head-on in Mini: violent accident in Bavaria

A serious accident occurred on Friday evening in Bad Reichenhall.
A drunk 19-year-old BMW driver crashed head-on into the Mini of a 77-year-old.
Bad Reichenhall – In a press release on Saturday, December 24th, the Bavarian Red Cross, district association Berchtesgadener Land, reported a serious accident in Bavaria.

Head-on collision in Bavaria: 19-year-old crashes into a 77-year-old's Mini
According to the first findings of the BRK, the 19-year-old driver of the BMW was slightly injured and the 77-year-old driver of the Mini was seriously injured in the accident on Anton-Winkler-Straße (B20) in Bad Reichenhall in Berchtesgadener Land.
Previously, the young man from Bad Reichenhall had strayed too far to the left in a right-hand bend on what was, according to the BRK, "rain-soaked and in places apparently slippery road" coming from Bayerisch Gmain and ended up in the oncoming lane.
There he then crashed head-on into the Mini of 77-year-old Bayerisch Gmainerin.
The force of the impact pushed the pensioner with her vehicle onto the rear of a parked Ford Transit from Vienna.
Because one of the emergency call systems in the car was triggered, the Bad Reichenhall volunteer fire brigade, including the fire engine and the Red Cross, were immediately at the scene of the accident.
The people involved in the accident were treated and the 77-year-old was then taken to the nearest hospital by ambulance.

The 19-year-old who caused the accident was under the influence of alcohol – criminal proceedings are now awaiting him
After providing first aid to the injured, the fire brigade ensured fire protection, cleaned the road, illuminated the road and took care of traffic diversion.
During the police investigation, the 19-year-old who caused the accident was given a breath alcohol test, which turned out positive.
Because of the "slight alcoholization" according to the BRK, he now has to have blood drawn.
He is also facing criminal proceedings for endangering road traffic and negligent bodily harm.
Overall, damage to property amounted to around 60,000 euros.
