Green councilor Willi Halletz has terminated two FC Hausham loans and silently watched the board guessing.

The council is disappointed.

Hausham

– There was no shortage of speeches when the Hausham municipal council met shortly before Christmas for the last meeting of the year.

At first, behind closed doors, members discussed whether to revoke a decision from the September meeting.

At that time, the majority of the committee voted to grant FC Hausham a subsidy of 30,000 euros for an extension to the clubhouse - half this year, the other half in 2023. But now the situation is different.

As reported, FC Hausham's lawyer informed our newspaper at the beginning of December that an application for insolvency had been filed due to over-indebtedness.

For a long time, the municipal council had no idea of this - with one exception: Greens member and club founder Willi Halletz personally brought about the application for insolvency after he left the club in September.

There had probably been internal friction beforehand – the municipal councilor “didn’t want to have anything to do with football”.

The processes became known immediately after the closed consultation of the municipal council: A public part of the meeting followed, which Mayor Jens Zangenfeind (FWG) advocated because of transparency.

Termination: The lender is entitled to payment - but the money has already been spent

"We were very surprised about the bankruptcy and asked ourselves how that could happen," said Zangenfeind.

After all, "the system was conclusively presented" to the municipal council before the decision on the subsidy was made.

90,000 euros should come from two loan agreements, with which bills were actually paid.

Christian Halletz, treasurer of the association and son of Willi Halletz, brought the corresponding documents to the community.

In addition, the committee was informed of planned sponsor payments of 50,000 euros by the then chairmen - the financing seemed secure.

After the bankruptcy application became known, however, the new chairmen, Patrick Asanger and his deputy, stated that they were not aware of any binding agreements with sponsors.

The two also announced that the loan agreements had been terminated - "by Willi Halletz," said Zangenfeind.

In turn, he confirmed the termination and stated that he had a power of attorney from the lender – which he presented to the municipality.

"Due to the lender's claim for payment, the association has filed an application for the opening of insolvency proceedings," said Zangenfeind.

Mayor Zangenfeind: "That's not okay"

Georg Eham (non-party, CSU) said: "I'm extremely disappointed that someone from our ranks is involved." Ria Röpfl (FWG) explained: "I'm also very, very disappointed.

Willi knew about it – you can say he screwed us.” Zangenfeind also criticized: “I don't think it's fair that you're treated like this as a body.

This is not okay.” Because of the confused situation, the panel unanimously decided not to award the grant.

The community is always there for sport – but not for arguments.

FC founder Halletz is keeping a low profile

When asked by our newspaper, Willi Halletz, the founder of FC Hausham, did not want to comment on the reasons why he canceled the loan for the club.

There is still too much to be clarified for that.

Halletz only emphasizes that he did not take part in the municipal council meeting on Thursday evening for health reasons.

And: "It is not yet bankruptcy, but an application to initiate insolvency proceedings."

The process is still "pending" - and the outcome is uncertain.

Halletz says: "It doesn't have to mean that it's over for the club." The registration of the insolvency proceedings was obligatory for the current board of directors.

Regarding the municipal council's decision not to grant the subsidy of 30,000 euros from the proceeds of the Kühnen Foundation, he says: "In the current situation, the decision is understandable."

As reported, Halletz and the new board of directors of Haushamer FC had recently distanced themselves from each other.

The initiator of the club, who left the ranks of SG Hausham at the time, explained to our newspaper: "I don't want anything to do with football anymore.

That cost me too much energy.” What exactly caused the friction in the club remained hidden from the public.
