A pregnant woman from Nuremberg (39) has been missing since December 9th.

A crime seems more and more likely for the police.

Update from December 20:

In the meantime, a 24-strong special commission is working on the search for the heavily pregnant missing person from Nuremberg.

She is currently checking, among other things, the social and professional connections of the missing.

Now the police are again asking the population for information – and have a specific reason: they are looking for a mint green Twingo.

The car could be "related to the disappearance of Alexandra R.," the police said.

The Renault Twingo registered in the district of Erlangen-Höchstadt (ERH) could therefore be linked to the disappearance of Alexandra R.

Therefore, the investigators are going public with the following questions:

  • Who saw the Renault Twingo on December 9th, 2022 (Friday) between around 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on the A9 between Nuremberg and Munich?

  • Who noticed the vehicle in the area between Nuremberg and Munich in the extended area around the A9 during the period mentioned?

(e.g. service areas, gas stations, side roads, forest roads, parking lots, etc.)

  • Who can possibly provide information on the occupancy of the vehicle?

Corresponding observations should be reported to the Central Franconia Criminal Service.

The phone number is: (09 11) 2 11 23 33 3. The helpline is available around the clock.

Heavily pregnant woman (39) still missing – police speak of a “needle in a haystack”

Update from December 18:

There is still no trace of the pregnant woman from Nuremberg who has been missing for days.

The 24-strong special commission continues to work on the case, a police spokesman said on Sunday.

There were therefore no targeted search measures at the weekend.

"There is no specific anchor point to look at at all, it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack," the spokesman said.

Both a mobile phone location and the questioning of relatives as well as the use of search dogs at the woman's home address have so far led to no trace.

For the investigators, there was growing evidence that the disappearance of the 39-year-old could be the result of a crime, a police spokesman emphasized on Friday.

The woman's cash, ID and maternity passport were still at her place of residence.

The investigators therefore assumed that the woman had not planned or left voluntarily.

Her partner had reported the eight-month-pregnant woman missing on Friday last week because she had previously disappeared without a trace.
