Officers from the Kowloon City Police District launched an anti-crime operation code-named "LEVINGTON" (LEVINGTON) for two consecutive nights from December 23 to 24, inspected 22 entertainment venues in the area, and smashed two gambling venues and one illegal Brand massage parlor.

During the operation, officers intercepted a total of 292 men and 139 women, and arrested 24 people.


Kowloon City Police District Anti-Triad Action Unit, Miscellaneous Investigation Squad and Mobile Unit officers found two male customers, aged 21 and 47, in two liquor licensed premises on Tai Ping Road and Shing Nam Road at 11:00 p.m. on December 23 Suspected of using someone else's electronic needle card screenshot to enter the bar for entertainment, was arrested on suspicion of "attempting to mislead police officers".

In addition, two 28-year-old men and 22-year-old women were arrested at a bar on Prince Edward Road West for "going out without identity documents".

During the operation, officers intercepted three men aged between 31 and 65 as wanted persons and arrested them.

Officers from the Anti-Triad Action Team of the Kowloon City Police District also raided a factory building on Sunrise Street at about 10:00pm on the same day, busting an illegal baccarat stall.

Officers arrested a 48-year-old woman surnamed Wang in the unit. She was suspected of "operating a gambling establishment"; three men and five women, aged between 23 and 55, were arrested for "gambling in a gambling establishment".

During the operation, officers seized a baccarat table, about $3,100 in cash gambling money and about $42,000 in chips.

The special duty team of the Kowloon City Police District raided a unit at No. 28 Ta Kwu Ling Road at about 4 pm on the same day and smashed an illegal mahjong gambling stall.

Officers arrested a 47-year-old woman surnamed Shi in the unit. She was suspected of "operating a gambling establishment."

Three other men and two women, aged between 46 and 62, were arrested on suspicion of "gambling in a gambling establishment".

During the operation, officers seized about $950 in cash, two electric mahjong tables and four sets of mahjong.

The special duty team of the Kowloon City Police District raided a unit at 204 Ma Tau Wai Road in the afternoon of the same day and smashed an unlicensed massage parlor.

Officers arrested a 50-year-old woman surnamed Li in the unit. She was suspected of "operating an unlicensed massage parlor."

Another 47-year-old woman surnamed Li was arrested on suspicion of "assisting in the management of unlicensed massage parlors".

During the operation, officers seized about 200 yuan in cash, massage oil and bed sheets.

All arrested men and women are being detained for questioning.
