The Deputy Chief of the Radiological, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces of the Russian Army, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, stated that the conclusions of the World Health Organization about the causes of the outbreak of the Corona virus pandemic did not satisfy Washington.
Lieutenant General Kirillov explained in a press conference today, reported by RIA Novosti, that the United States wants to have a more loyal tool for it to investigate outbreaks of infectious diseases, and therefore an American non-governmental organization proposed the idea of creating a unified mechanism for investigating biological incidents under the auspices of the United Nations.
Lieutenant General Kirilov warned that this American proposal would later allow this mechanism to be given a mandatory character, and would give Western countries the opportunity to identify the culprits as they wish.
Lieutenant General Kirillov also revealed that Moscow had obtained an expanded version of US activities in Ukraine confirming that America is conducting training and courses on pathogens with dangerous infections.
The commander of the forces for protection against radiological, chemical and biological weapons in the Russian Ministry of Defense explained that this version reveals the names and positions of specialists and leaders of biological projects and a list of relevant laboratories, as well as facts confirming the conduct of training and courses on particularly dangerous infectious agents.
Lieutenant General Kirillov considered that the United States' prevention of any initiatives to resume work in the verification mechanism of the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological and Toxin Weapons confirms that Washington has something to hide.
Between November 28 and December 16, Geneva hosted the Ninth Review Conference of the States Parties to the Biological Weapons Convention. During the conference, the Russian delegation touched on the DATRA report on American activities in Ukraine, which the Pentagon tried to hide.
