Serious traffic accident on Christmas Eve in Kochel: Three injured - including two children

Two injured children, enormous property damage and a lot of work for the helpers: on Christmas Eve of all days, two expensive cars collided badly in Kochel.
Kochel am See – On Christmas Eve of all days, three people were injured in a traffic accident in Kochel am See, including two children.
A 35-year-old man in his Land Rover overlooked a BMW approaching from the town center when turning left from a supermarket parking lot onto Bahnhofstrasse, as the Kochel am See police station announced on Saturday afternoon (December 24).
The 44-year-old from Kocheler at the wheel of the BMW was no longer able to prevent the collision with the Land Rover despite braking, it said;
there was a collision.

While the Land Rover driver from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district was uninjured, the collision had consequences for the occupants of the BMW.
The 44-year-old driver and his 3 and 11-year-old children all suffered minor injuries, police said.
Another consequence of the accident was high property damage.
According to the Kochel police, both vehicles had to be towed away with severe damage.
The emergency services estimated the damage to the Land Rover at around 25,000 euros, and the damage to the BMW at around 50,000 euros.

The rescuers also had a lot of work on Christmas Eve due to the accident.
The Kochel volunteer fire brigade was on site with 18 people and three vehicles.
Two ambulances from the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) and an emergency doctor also responded.
Elsewhere on December 24th it was mostly quiet on Bavaria's roads.
The Bavarian traffic information center initially reported no major traffic jams on Christmas Eve.
Already on Friday (December 23) in Bad Reichenhall, an intoxicated 19-year-old had collided with his car head-on with the car of a 77-year-old.
The man suffered minor injuries and the elderly woman suffered moderate injuries, according to the BRK.
