Two mainland students who came to Hong Kong for Christmas test positive

Unexpectedly, after entering the country, the nucleic acid test was positive, which disrupted the entire schedule. The two had to go to the isolation hotel by themselves, but they were arrested. Many hotels refused to accept them, and they were still living on the streets in the early hours of the morning, with nowhere to go. Fortunately, the police found the two and offered a helping hand. Afterwards, the two students made a 5-minute video to record the incident and thanked the police for their assistance. .

On the evening of this Thursday (22nd), two mainland students studying in South Korea arrived in Hong Kong by plane for Christmas.

When they were about to leave the airport and drive to a friend's house, they suddenly received a notification from the Department of Health that the nucleic acid test result was positive.

In order to avoid infecting their friends, the two chose to go to the isolation hotel by themselves, but they found 7 to 8 hotels, all of which refused them to stay. They could only linger on the streets of Ferry Street until the early hours of the morning. They continued to inquire about other methods and waited for further notice from the Department of Health. .

Members of the third team of the West Kowloon Stormtroopers patrolled Ferry Street and found the two students. After understanding the whole story, they provided assistance. After contacting different departments, they finally arranged for the two students to go to the isolation center in the morning of the next day (23rd).

The police officers then took them to the West Kowloon Stormtrooper base for a short rest and provided food so that they could wait in a warm and safe place.

Until noon the next day, the two students boarded the quarantine bus and went to the Penny's Bay Community Isolation Facility.

Afterwards, two mainland students made a 5-minute video to record the whole process of the police providing assistance. At the end of the video, they thanked the police more times.

The police also posted on their Facebook page today, stating that regardless of the time and weather, the police will provide assistance to all citizens and visitors to Hong Kong.
