While many families were gathered for Christmas Eve, 600 people boarded a cruise organized by Secours Catholique.
In all, seven barges were chartered by the association to sail on the Seine, far from precariousness.

It allows you to see a bit of Paris from a point of view other than that of the metro.
We see the Eiffel Tower, new buildings and other old ones, statues from previous centuries,
”describes Jacques, 55, interviewed by RTL.
If he hadn't boarded a boat, the fifty-year-old would have been left alone at home.

An upscale meal was served during the cruise.
On the menu, “
sea bream palets with fresh herb cream
” and “
chicken, fish and vegetables
” as dishes, reports another participant.
Bottles of Bordeaux came to accompany these dishes.
Among the 600 guests were a dozen children.
“
I like it because it's very high!
It scares me a little bit, but I like it
, ”says one of them.
This event seems to be a success for young and old.
According to one of the Secours Catholique volunteers, “
everyone [was] happy to be there, there [were] meetings, it feels like a family
”.
