MTR said today (25th) that it welcomes the gradual, orderly and comprehensive customs clearance between Hong Kong and the Mainland. The company is ready and will fully cooperate with the government's arrangement to resume customs clearance.
In response to the government's anti-epidemic measures, the West Kowloon Station of the High Speed Rail was closed and services were suspended from January 30, 2020, and the Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau Stations of the East Rail Line were also temporarily closed from February 4 of the same year.
Customs clearance is imminent, which means that these stations will reopen.

Jin Zepei: The team is working hard to prepare for customs clearance
Jin Zepei, CEO of the MTR Corporation, said that he looks forward to the resumption of services at Luohu, Lok Ma Chau Stations, and the West Kowloon Station of the High Speed Rail.
The MTR team is making intensive preparations for customs clearance, fully cooperating with the government, and working closely with relevant departments to formulate plans to ensure that railway services will gradually, orderly, and comprehensively connect the two places.
MTR pointed out that during the suspension of cross-border train services, in addition to maintaining necessary operations, the team has also been carrying out various maintenance and repairs to ensure that all systems, equipment and shop facilities are maintained in good condition, and personnel training is carried out to prepare for customs clearance.
The MTR said that it has been improving its equipment, hoping to provide passengers with more convenient and comfortable services when the relevant stations reopen.
