The epidemic situation in Hong Kong is still high and rampant. There were 21,255 new confirmed cases in Hong Kong today (25th), a slight decrease of 107 cases or 0.5% from yesterday (24th).
There were 964 imported cases, 18,473 people entered the airport yesterday, and the confirmed rate was 5.22%.
There were 50 new deaths today, bringing the seven-day average to 41.6, for a total of 11,462.
From 2020 to the present, the total number of infected people is 2.48 million.
As for the confirmed children, the 31-month-old girl in Tuen Mun Hospital is in critical condition, and the 15-month-old boy in Prince of Wales Hospital is in serious condition.

Local cases accounted for 20,291 cases
There were another 21,255 confirmed cases in Hong Kong today.
Among the confirmed cases, 20,291 were local cases, and 964 were imported cases, accounting for 4.54% of the total cases.
Among the newly imported cases, 516 involved samples tested at the airport, 324 involved samples from days 1 to 3, and the remaining 124 cases involved samples from days 4 to 7.
There were 18,473 people entering the airport yesterday, and the confirmed diagnosis rate was 5.22%, an increase of 0.21 percentage points from yesterday.
The seven-day average number of confirmed cases was 923, and the seven-day average diagnosis rate was 4.86%.
Since 2020, there have been 1,143,107 positive cases of nucleic acid tests and 1,341,705 positive cases of rapid antigen tests in Hong Kong, with a total of 2,484,812 people.

Among the samples received by the Public Health Laboratory Service of the Department of Health for verification tests of local cases from December 16 to 22, the Omicron variant virus strain BA.2.12.1 and BA.4/BA.5 substrains (including suspected cases ) related samples accounted for 0% and about 52.36% (seven-day moving average ratio) respectively.
The Department of Health has not found any cases of new mutant virus strains, and a total of 226 cases of XBB, 6 cases of XBD, 8 cases of BA.2.75.2, 7 cases of BA.4.6, 13 cases of BF.7 and 38 cases of BQ.1.1 sub There are 154 cases of XBB, 18 cases of XBD, 1 case of BA.2.75.2, 12 cases of BF.7 and 185 cases of subfamily BQ.1.1 in local cases.
In terms of schools, today is a school holiday, so there are no new reported cases, and no school classes need to be suspended for five days.
As for residential care homes, 32 residential care homes have confirmed cases, namely 19 residential care homes for the elderly and 13 residential care homes for the disabled. Among them, 63 residents and 7 staff have been diagnosed.
Hospitalizations fall back to 4,483
The Hospital Authority announced that yesterday (24th) there were 4,483 patients diagnosed with the new crown who were hospitalized in public hospitals.
Among the confirmed patients staying in the hospital, there were 595 newly confirmed patients.
2,925 people are in isolation facilities, 583 are receiving oxygen therapy and 79 are on ventilators to help them breathe.
The number of new hospital stays compared to the total number of hospital patients was 13.3%.
A total of 27 critical and 31 serious confirmed patients were newly reported, and currently a total of 161 critical and 179 serious confirmed patients are hospitalized, a total of 340, a new high after 0+3.
Among the hospitalized patients, 46 critical patients are receiving intensive treatment.
The total number of new critical illnesses in a single day compared with the total number of new hospitalized patients was 9.7%.
50 more people died, the youngest was only 39 years old
In addition, the Hospital Authority reported 50 new deaths, including 24 males and 26 females, aged between 39 and 98, and 19 of them came from institutions.
In terms of injections, 12 had no injection records, 4 received 4 injections, 28 received 3 injections, 5 received 2 injections, and 1 received 1 injection.
As for the confirmed children, the 31-month-old girl in Tuen Mun Hospital is in critical condition, and the 15-month-old boy in Prince of Wales Hospital is in serious condition.
