The Kafr Bohm Charity Association launched the “Christmas” initiative to distribute foodstuffs to 250 of the most needy families, who came to the town of Kafr Bohm in Hama from various governorates.
The association's chairman, Dr. Fadi Shammout, stated in a statement to SANA's reporter that the initiative was contributed by many civil society organizations in the town of Kafr Bhum in the western countryside of Hama, to alleviate the economic burdens of the most needy families.
He added: The initiative is a continuation of previous initiatives to support the local community, especially in the health aspect, as the association takes care of the expenses of examinations, in addition to laboratory analyzes and x-rays, and disbursing medical prescriptions on a monthly basis to many needy families.
Member of the Board of Directors of the Association, Nazem Tohme, stated that the event is an annual tradition that the Association used to do in conjunction with the Christmas and New Year celebrations, indicating that today a number of food and consumer items were prepared for distribution to families, accompanied by volunteers, to spread joy on this occasion.
