Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning called on all parties to stick to dialogue and negotiation and intensify diplomatic efforts to put the implementation of the Iran nuclear deal back on track.
Xinhua quoted Mao as saying in a statement today: "The negotiations related to the resumption of implementation of the agreement are in their final stage, and despite the complex and difficult prospects facing the talks, there is still hope for reaching an agreement," stressing that Iran "has always shown sincerity in seeking To an agreement, and therefore the parties concerned need to work in the same direction and take the right decision and take positive and constructive steps forward, avoid linking the Iranian nuclear issue with other issues, and help the negotiations reach a conclusion at an early date.
Mao stressed that China will continue to work with all parties concerned to seek a political and diplomatic settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue, safeguard the international non-proliferation regime and maintain peace and stability in the Middle East.
