The death toll from the severe winter storm battering the United States for several days has reached 25 in Erie County alone, located in western New York state and one of the most affected, announced Monday a local official.
Local services have confirmed since Sunday evening new deaths, of people found in cars or outside, "bringing the total of the dead from the blizzard to 25 deaths", declared during a press conference Mark Poloncarz, person in charge for this county.
The total of deaths confirmed by authorities across nine US states is now at least 47 dead.
