According to the police, the 30-year-old was traveling on state road 2072 from Bad Tölz in the direction of Geretsried at around 1.30 a.m. when he left the roadway in his Fiat in a right-hand bend near the Roßwies district.

According to the police, the car slid down a “very steep and wooded embankment”.

The police, the rescue service and the fire brigades in Bad Tölz and Ellbach were alerted with the keyword "traffic accident - person trapped".

In the end, the 30-year-old was able to free himself from the vehicle.

As reported by the Ellbach fire brigade, the helpers searched the roadside and the embankment area for other vehicles because there were various tire tracks in the shoulder and it was initially not clear whether other vehicles were involved in the accident.

This, however, was not the case.

The Tölzer's Fiat was a total write-off (7,000 euros).

When police officers recorded the accident, they determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

The Tölzer didn't stop despite the collision.
