Winner with his allies of the legislative elections of November 1, he had until December 11 to announce his government, but had requested an extension of 14 days, the maximum provided for by law.
If the precise composition of his government is not yet fully completed, his partners are however known and it should be, for the experts, the most right-wing government in the history of Israel.

In recent weeks, Netanyahu's Likud party has signed deals with them giving the National Security portfolio to Itamar Ben Gvir, responsibility for settlements in the occupied West Bank to Bezalel Smotrich, and a portfolio to Shass leader Arie Dery. .
However, MPs have yet to vote on second and third reading bills allowing Mr Dery to be appointed after being convicted of tax evasion and Mr Ben Gvir to extend his future powers as a minister to the police.
These votes are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday so that Netanyahu, holder of the record for longevity at the head of the country (from 1996 to 1999 and from 2009 to 2021), can then present his cabinet to the Knesset.
