There should be a lot of movement in Kochel in 2023 - for example with road renovations and in the matter of the amplifier office.

Numerous construction measures are in the planning stage.

A new mayor may also have to be elected – that will become apparent after the state elections.

Kochel am See – The municipality of Kochel is facing an exciting year – in many respects.

What could be implemented in Kochel through the village renewal program?

When asked by our newspaper, Mayor Thomas Holz (CSU) announced that the municipal council will deal with this topic in closed sessions with professional support.

The decision as to whether to take part in the program should then be made in the first half of the year.

New signage will be put up in the spring

In the spring of 2023, the new location signs will also be put up.

That was actually planned for 2022, but was delayed due to delivery problems, reports Holz.

The signs – including the tourist ones – are largely identical to the old ones, although some are slightly larger.

In addition, work continues on the hiking trail concept, which is being created at district level.

Holz puts the total costs for everything at around 100,000 euros.

21 apartments, new building yard, shelters for the homeless and rooms for the Kochler clubs

What is actually going to happen on the site of the former amplifier office?

According to Holz, the tenders are in the final stages here.

As reported, the municipality is planning the construction of 21 apartments in municipal housing, a new building yard, shelters for the homeless and rooms for the Kochler associations on this site.

In 2023, among other things, the projects are to be awarded.

Planning costs of 550,000 euros are planned.

Holz hopes that time will play into the municipality's hands and that costs in the construction sector will "regulate somewhat".

Municipality invests 800,000 euros in the rescue station of the water rescue service and mountain rescue service

The tenders are also being carried out for the joint rescue station of the water and mountain rescue services, and Holz hopes that construction can even begin.

The municipality is investing around 800,000 euros here, and there is also a grant of almost 670,000 euros from the Leader program.

In addition, the electronics in the sewage treatment plant will be renovated in the new year, which will cost around 500,000 euros.

Kochel is investing the same amount in the energetic renovation of the town hall, and the roof will be on in 2023.

There will also be an e-charging station at the town hall.

Also 500,000 euros will be spent on the rehabilitation of Trimini Street.

“We want to start tendering in the spring,” says Holz.

"Then we have to see how the companies have capacities." They are in coordination with the crystal baths AG, which will build the large mobile home parking space next to it.

For further expansion measures in other streets in Kochler, around 100,000 euros are available for 2023, Holz continues.

Road rehabilitation on the Zwergern Peninsula

The replacement of the windows in the elementary school was already planned for 2022, but was postponed by a year.

The costs for this are around 250,000 euros.

A look at the districts of Kochel: On the Zwergern peninsula, the renovation of the municipal road is being tackled.

It is the piece between Lobisau and the last farmstead.

There are grants for this from the EU support program Eler for rural areas.

Holz still expects costs of one million euros.

The work is to be carried out in early summer.

The road is also a very popular circular route for (bicycle) tourists.

What about the subsequent section between the farmstead and Einsiedl?

"We're not doing that yet, firstly because no funding is possible and because this section of the route is still in relatively good condition," says Holz.

Kochler fire brigade hopes that the ordered turnable ladder will arrive in 2023

In Ried, the planning for the renovation of the Pfisterbergweg is progressing.

This road is no longer in good condition either.

"We have postponed the work so far because the water management office was still carrying out construction work on the Pessenbach," says Holz.

But whether the expansion of the Pfisterbergweg will be possible this year in view of the numerous other measures in the community cannot be estimated at the moment, says Holz.

What is certain, however, is that the building yard will get a new tractor, as recently decided by the municipal council.

The costs amount to around 150,000 euros.

In addition, the Kochler fire brigade hopes that the turntable ladder that has been ordered will arrive in 2023.

"But it could also be 2024, unfortunately there are long delivery times," says Holz.

The costs for this are around one million euros.

If Holz moves into the state parliament, Kochel will need a new mayor

Incidentally, the work to clean up the household rubbish dump on the Loisach-Ufer is still going on.

They really should have ended long ago.

The drainage lines are finished and the shafts set.

But the planners encountered difficulties and delays in building the house for the cleaning system.

Stress tests are still being carried out in the ground.

"We're hoping for results in the near future," says Holz.

The application for the planned mobile phone mast in the Pessenbach district is currently being processed in the Tölz district office and is no longer a matter for the municipality.

Incidentally, Kochel is facing an exciting year in local politics: Holz is known to be a candidate for the state parliament of the CSU.

Should he make it to the Maximilianeum in September, there will be mayoral elections in Kochel a short time later.
