It is an almost impossible task to describe Druckman's tremendous contribution to Israel, to the education of generations, to kindness and to the practical world.

How do you summarize a life of Torah?

Full decades of doing?

Impact on the whole nation?

Making decisions on the most significant points for the country?

These are the questions that flood and arise when they come to do with great pain, what we had hoped would never happen - to summarize the life and work of our teacher and rabbi, Rabbi Haim Druckman.

It is an almost impossible task to describe the rabbi's tremendous contribution to the people of Israel, to the education of generations, to kindness, to the world of action.

There is almost no place, there is almost no action in which Rabbi Druckman's fingerprint is not evident.

It is hard to imagine the State of Israel in general, and religious Zionism in particular, without the stamp stamped on the tens or hundreds of thousands of men and women who come from all walks of life in the State of Israel.

Rabbi Druckman, laureate of the Israel Prize, is considered the "elder of the rabbis" in the religious-national sector.

As an educator he headed the Bnei Akiva yeshiva center and workshops, the Bnei Akiva youth movement and the Hesder yeshiva union, and as a public leader he was one of the leaders of "Gosh Emonim", head of the state conversion system and also served as a Knesset member and deputy minister.

He carried a list of titles and positions that remained orphaned and in order to fill it many people would be required, which shows the breadth of his shoulders and his abilities.

For three decades I was privileged to be protected by his shadow and to receive the guidance of the rabbi in the Bnei Akiva movement and the Bnei Akiva yeshivot and studio center.

To see up close the power of the mission.

To feel the greatness of the leader and educator before me.

The rabbi's second name was Meir.

Beside Haim Shel Torah was Rabbi Meir Labriot.

An educator at Ramah Ivrio and SSA Gidio, who helped with guidance and advice to every person wherever he was.

plowed the land

One of Rabbi Druckman's great virtues was his encounter with Klal Israel.

In Torah lessons at his home and at meetings all over the country.

Both big and small, both religious and secular.

He would come to Shlomi and Arad, Tel Aviv and Hebron, and they are all loved.

Rabbi Druckman taught us that his door is open to everyone, he is attentive, tries to advise and tries to work for the benefit of all parts of the people of Israel.

Even those who may not have met him personally, will learn from his Torah and the light of the rabbi's face.

In his innumerable books, articles, lessons and tutorials, he guided us on how life, is life precisely when it is a life of Torah, revolving around the values of the Torah which deals with all areas.

The rabbi recently celebrated his ninetieth birthday, and we held a big event in the nation's buildings that gave an idea of the enormous love he has for all parts of the people of Israel.

This harmony of the Torah and life, this combination of love for the people of Israel, for the State of Israel and the Land of Israel - this is what made him so beloved and influences religious Zionism and the entire society in the State of Israel.

For years, the rabbi enlightened us with the qualities of the soul that should come from strength to action, enlightened the future when sometimes reality is caught in crises, illuminated by personal example how to act with a never-ending mission and how to look at the "good eye" in reality.

I can say with confidence that there has never been a person full of love and faith in such a complete, innocent and genuine way as our teacher and Rabbi, Rabbi Haim Meir Druckman.

The huge longing has already begun.

Parting is hard to bear.

May his memory be blessed.

I'm sure it will be.
