"One more night with him," says Pele's daughter as she thanks the hospital staff
Kely Nascimento, Pelé's daughter, shared on her Instagram account a family photo inside the Albert Einstein Jewish Hospital in São Paulo.
He accompanied the image with a message of thanks to the institution's staff: "Even in sadness, we just have to be grateful. Thank you for being together, thank you for all your love, thank you for being here with him now," and added wishing a merry christmas.
"One more night with him," he said.

Pelé's son arrives to visit his father in the hospital

Pelé's son and soccer coach, Edson Cholbi do Nascimento, commonly known as Edinho, arrived at the Albert Einstein Jewish Hospital in São Paulo this Saturday, according to an Instagram post by his sister Kely Nascimento.
Nascimento also posted a photo with her brother and other family members from inside the hospital where her father and soccer legend has been since late November, writing in the caption that "I won't leave, no one will take me out of here".

Pelé's daughter shares touching photo with her father

The daughter of Brazilian soccer legend Pelé took to Instagram on Friday night to post a moving tribute and photo of her father at the Albert Einstein Jewish Hospital in São Paulo.
In this photo shared by Kely Nascimento on Instagram late on December 23, Pele's family is seen supporting him at the hospital.

“We are still here, in the fight and in the faith.
One more night together”, wrote Kely Nascimento.
Her words accompanied a photo showing her hugging her father as he lies in a hospital bed.
In the photo you can also see Pelé's granddaughter, Sophia.

Pelé, hospitalized since November 29
Edson Arantes do Nascimento, “O Rei”, has been hospitalized since November 29 at the Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital to receive treatment for a respiratory infection and for a re-evaluation of the chemotherapy treatment that is being followed for a color tumor.
The hospital reported that Pelé "presents progression of the oncological disease and requires greater care related to renal and cardiac dysfunctions."
"The patient is still hospitalized in a common room, under the necessary care of the medical team," said the professionals at the medical center this week.
Pelé's colon cancer treatments
On September 6, 2021, Pelé announced on his social media that he had undergone surgery to remove a tumor from his colon two days earlier.
On September 30, he was discharged from the Sao Paulo hospital where he had been operated on.
Doctors identified the cancer after discovering abnormalities in her colon during a routine exam, Reuters reported at the time.
At that time, it was announced that the former player would have to receive chemotherapy.
