Calm has returned in via Calchi Taeggi and in the surrounding streets, around the 'Cesare Beccaria' juvenile prison in Milan, from where 7 young prisoners escaped yesterday, two of whom were taken back.

There are now only law enforcement patrols manning the area and not allowing anyone in.

A checkpoint is between via Giovanni Spagliardi and via Ferruccio Parri.

The fire started in some cells was put out by firefighters.

Moments of tension are recorded when the reporters approached the perimeter of the penitentiary institution, and some inmates shouted "journalists of m..." from the windows.
