Thanks to government subsidies and manufacturer discounts, Tesla models are now available at bargain prices in the USA.
German buyers also get a discount.
The transition to electromobility is in full swing.
Younger drivers and buyers of expensive premium brands in particular are driving the change.
However, the answer to one question will be exciting in the coming years: How well will electric vehicles sell if the environmental bonus falls or later runs out entirely?

While many electric fans declare that they will not be influenced by this, some experts fear a slump in the German market for battery-powered cars.
In any case, the USA is playing it safe and will be paying out a whopping 7,500 euros from next year - instead of a reduction as in this country, this corresponds to a doubling of the premium.
However, one detail is causing trouble with European countries: the batteries in subsidized cars must come from the USA – which is probably why no battery cells are produced in the Tesla plant in Grünheide after all.
However, Joe Biden's administration suspended this regulation until March next year.

Tesla: Discounts also for some existing German models
German Tesla fans are now looking enviously across the Atlantic: After several price increases, the coveted electric vehicles are now really cheap there, the Model 3 is available there for less than 40,000 euros net (approx. 37,500 euros).
Because until the full subsidy takes effect next year, Tesla will cover the price difference.
The electric car pioneer is also willing to give price reductions to support sales.
For German customers, however, there is a discount of at least 3,000 euros for some existing Model 3 and Model Y vehicles.
