Arye's brother, the 55-year-old Jose who died: "They lynched him" (Walla system!)
"They lynched him," claims the older brother of Aryeh Cohen, who has not known his soul since the death of his brother Jose was pronounced at the hospital this morning (Monday).
He has many complaints against "Neva Ram", the institution in the ridges where he lived for the past two years and against the very fact that it was named there.
"He was doing well in the home setting where he lived before, but then due to supposedly some medical problem, which made it difficult for him to swallow, the social workers said he needed to move to a place with more supervision and that there was no other place for him. That's how he moved to Neve Ram, which actually didn't fit that well to him".
"He was born like this, with the problems. He had a special education and a difficult life. But he was a good and quiet man who did no harm to anyone," says the 61-year-old brother, who is six years older than his late brother.
"I was his guardian and I took care of him. It was my father's command. In the last moments before he died he ordered me to take care of my brother. I would visit him every Thursday."
He does not know for sure about the events and suffering that led to his hospitalization.
"The social worker who came to see him in the intensive care unit was shocked. They sent someone from the daycare center to sit next to him in the hospital, but it was a kind of blindfold," he says, "she didn't tell us anything. At first they said he fell out of bed, then in the shower. It doesn't make sense because they were They shower him in a chair. The social worker told me that she was never told that he fell."

According to him, "As far as I understand, the case was not reported to the Ministry of Welfare. I called the Ministry of Welfare hotline last Wednesday and they said they would get back to me within 30 days. There were marks on his hands, face and whole body. He had a strong blow to the spine. You have to use a very strong force to cause such bruises.
"The police came to the hospital and recorded it.
I felt he was traumatized.
He kept holding me that I wouldn't leave him.
He explained to me in signs that he had been beaten there.

Lawyer Naama Lerner, CEO of the Movement for Independence, who is familiar with the Neve Ram residence, said: "We need to demand an external inspection committee for the Ministry of Welfare regarding what is happening there.
Two years ago there was another horrible death of the tenant Meshi Peretz, there was an internal inspection committee and nothing happened.
The results have not even been published.
The institution didn't even get a scratch."
The director of the daycare center refused to comment on the tragedy. She told Walla: "I can't talk about it.
Our tenants are confidential and we cannot disclose anything about them."
