Russian air defenses shot down a Ukrainian drone as it approached an airbase in southern Russia, with debris from the aircraft killing three people on the ground, Russian news agencies reported on Monday (December 26th).

On December 26, at around 1:35 a.m. Moscow time, a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down at low altitude as it approached the Engels military airfield in the Saratov region
," the agency reported. TASS press quote citing the Defense Ministry.
