Today, an earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale shook the Al-Tur area in the Egyptian governorate of South Sinai.
Egyptian media quoted the stations of the National Seismological Network of the National Institute for Astronomical Research as saying: The epicenter of the tremor was 26 kilometers southwest of Al-Tur and at a depth of 9.61 kilometers from the Earth's surface.
The network stated that no information was received about losses or damages as a result of the tremor, while citizens felt it in some Egyptian governorates, including the capital, Cairo.
