A rioter from Glonn (Ebersberg district) injured two railway employees on Christmas Day at Munich Central Station.

Munich/Glonn –

On Monday evening (December 26), a 28-year-old who was to be expelled from the main train station injured two Deutsche Bahn security employees.

According to the Federal Police Inspectorate, a dispute broke out between a 28-year-old Eritrean and a patrol from Deutsche Bahn security at around 7:15 p.m. at the Arnulfstrasse exit of Munich Central Station.

The man was therefore with friends on the staircase.

The group consumed alcohol and smoked in the station building.

The patrol of Deutsche Bahn security then referred everyone out of the station.

Aggressive and drunk: Eritreans strike because they are sent off

While the friends were cooperative and followed the request, according to the police report, the man who lives in Glonn (Ebersberg district) immediately behaved extremely aggressively towards the security staff.

The enraged attacked both of them when he was about to be led out of the train station.

The 33 and 56-year-old DB security forces were slightly injured by punches to the head and body, but were able to continue their service.

Both were able to avoid kicks, the police describe the course of events.

A third DB employee fell while bringing the Eritrean down the stairs and injured himself.

The 43-year-old went to an emergency clinic to clarify the injury.

According to officials, he was no longer able to work.

While they were wrestling the aggressor to the ground, the African, who was drinking 1.2 per mille, spat at one of the security guards and hit him in the arm, the officials continue to report.

The asylum seeker entered Germany for the first time in April 2015.

The federal police are now investigating him for dangerous bodily harm and insult.

After completing all police measures, he was able to walk free from the station.
