Starnberg – The "Friends of the Starnberg Clinic" association is pleased that around 75,000 euros have been received from its appeal for donations for a central monitor system in the children's department of the hospital.
As reported, the nurses and doctors urgently need this monitor system in order to be able to monitor all children's beds centrally from the ward room.
Without the surveillance monitors in the children's rooms, the clinic could not accommodate so many small patients and they would have to be transferred to children's clinics further away.
"More than 75,000 euros in donations went into the account of the 'Friends of the Starnberg Hospital' association," says former district administrator Karl Roth, the first chairman of the association.
"This is a sensational result."
“Once again it has been shown how important the association is for his clinic.
This is a first milestone for the purchase of the monitor system,” says District Administrator Stefan Frey.
The sponsoring association of the clinic was founded many years ago precisely for the purpose of also acquiring important medical equipment for the clinic.
The initiators hope that the missing amount will be raised and that the monitor system for the children's clinic can be ordered in January '23.
Commissioning could then take place in spring 2023.
