The “Sun Rises” initiative in al-Hasakah provided medical supplies to a number of people with disabilities, including large and small handicap chairs, “walkers” and crutches.
The Director of Social Affairs and Labor, Ibrahim Khalaf, considered in a statement to SANA reporter that the initiative organized by the Sanabel Al-Amal Charitable Association, with the support of the Syrian Society for the Treatment of Childhood Cancer, has a major role in alleviating the suffering of families with disabilities, by providing various medical supplies that help them in their lives for free.
And the head of the association, Khader Khalil, stated that the initiative included people with disabilities who went to the physiotherapy center of Sanabel al-Amal, and they need this equipment to complete their medical treatment, indicating that the association organized in this regard and with the aim of providing psychological support to this segment an art exhibition and drawings for children, with honoring Personalities providing material and moral support.
Among the beneficiaries of the initiative, Mrs. Khawla and the child Muhammad talked about the importance of the initiative in providing medical supplies for mobility devices for people with disabilities, in light of their high prices and the inability of families to secure them for their children due to the current circumstances.
