When an 88-year-old regular customer did not show up for her appointment, her hairdresser alerted the emergency services – and possibly saved her life.

Bayreuth – An 88-year-old senior woman has been coming to her regular hairdresser in Bayreuth for over 30 years.

When the loyal customer did not show up for the agreed appointment on December 23, the hairdresser suspected evil and dialed the emergency call.

Fortunately, thanks to the many conversations in the hairdressing salon, the manager knew the address of the elderly woman.

The stylist therefore went to her apartment himself to check on everything.

When no one responded to his knocking and ringing at the apartment, he alerted the emergency services.

With head laceration in hospital – hairdresser prevented worse

Together with the local fire brigade, the Bayreuth police opened the apartment door of the 88-year-old.

Rescuers found the elderly lady lying on the floor in her living room.

As reported by the Bayreuth police, the elderly woman fell on the morning of the day before Christmas and was unable to get up on her own.

Rescue workers took the 88-year-old to a hospital with a laceration to the head.

The hairdresser probably prevented worse things from happening with his intervention, the officials emphasized.

The lady, now very old, had been reliable and punctual at her hairdresser's for 30 years.

Her loyalty to customers may have saved her life last Friday.
