In 2023 there are state and district elections in Bavaria.

The Freisinger CSU has now chosen its second vote candidates.

District

– In its last meeting, the district executive of the CSU district association Freising completed the round of candidates for the state and district elections on October 8, 2023.

The direct candidates Minister of State Florian Herrmann, MdL (state constituency), and District Councilor Simon Schindlmayr (district constituency) have already been nominated.

In the race for the second votes, the Freising CSU district association is now sending Benedikt Flexeder (32, state parliament), the CSU local chairman from Haag, and the CSU local chairman from Hallbergmoos, Tanja Knieler (42, district council).

Minister Florian Herrmann writes: "Benedikt Flexeder, an electrician by profession, would like to bring his professional and voluntary work experience to the coming state parliament and make the younger generation in the Freising district heard in the upcoming state election campaign."

Benedikt Flexeder himself says: “We are facing major challenges, which young families in particular are also facing.

We have to keep the economy running, implement the energy transition sensibly in times of the energy crisis and at the same time when there is a lack of skilled workers.

We all have to tackle this together in order to master the tasks ahead.” The CSU has already shown in the past that it can bring the country and its people through difficult waters while always keeping a firm eye on the future.

"I would like to support this so that the district of Freising is also well represented in the next state parliament."

Tanja Knieler is applying for a seat in the district council.

Tanja Knieler is a ministerial official in the Free State of Bavaria, currently head of the department for health and care in the CSU parliamentary group and in the municipality of Hallbergmoos as a consultant for the environment and health: "The CSU stands for and has a responsibility, designed instead of managed, as was shown especially the past few weeks and months,” she explains.

"I would like to make my contribution and run for the district council in order to contribute my expertise in the areas of health, care, social affairs and the environment - the very issues that move people." The list for Upper Bavaria is drawn up by the CSU District association in spring 2023.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

In 2023, a directional decision for Bavaria is pending, emphasized Herrmann.

“We are committed to our Bavarian homeland with heart and mind at all political levels.

Together with Simon Schindlmayr, Benedikt Flexeder and Tanja Knieler, I will fight for every vote in the district of Freising and promote people's trust in us and our politics."
