Prime Minister-designate Binyamin Netanyahu met this evening (Tuesday) with the Likud candidates for the positions of ministers and speaker of the Knesset.
According to Likud estimates, Amir Ohana is approaching the position of Knesset Speaker, while MK Israel Katz is approaching the Foreign Ministry.
Also, a rotation in the foreign portfolio between Katz and Ron Dermer is being considered, and Yuli Edelstein is nominated for the position of chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. The positions are not yet closed at this stage and it is possible that by Thursday (the expected date of the government's swearing in) there will be more changes.

As I remember, there was great anger in Likud after Netanyahu considered appointing Ron Dermer, Israel's former ambassador to the US, as foreign minister in the emerging government.
Will be appointed in rotation?

Senior officials of the party who spoke to Israel Hayom said: "If Netanyahu appoints Dermer to the press, it will be a brazen appointment that whistles at the Likud officials who elected people in the primaries. It is also disrespectful to the Likud Knesset members who invested in the primaries. There is no compulsion and justification for handing over the case to a coalition partner - Netanyahu is trying to land it on us from the outside."
