Over the past two years, the tricolor labor market has experienced a good dynamic.
Between the end of 2019 and the third quarter of 2022, the unemployment rate in France (excluding Mayotte) fell from 8.2% to 7.3%.
That is a decrease of almost one point, despite a health and social crisis of unprecedented magnitude – a feat largely maintained by substantial financial support from the State.
As a result, unemployment is at its lowest level since 2008.

However, as paradoxical as it may seem, never have so many positions been filled in the tricolor economy.
In the third quarter, France had some 372,000 jobs up for grabs, according to data from the Statistics Department of the Ministry of Labor (Dares).
This is 3 points more than in the previous quarter.
