In February 2022, Tom Brady had announced that he was retiring from the NFL.

But the withdrawal from him was short-lived.

Just weeks later, the seven-time Super Bowl champion changed his mind and returned for his 23rd NFL season at age 45.

Speaking with sportscaster Jim Gray on his weekly podcast, Brady was jokingly asked if he would retire if Rob Gronkowski, who has retired twice from the NFL, retires again.

"Well, I guess the next time I decide to retire, that's it for me," Brady said with a laugh on his "Let's Go!" podcast, which launched Monday.

"Then when that day comes, we'll figure it out."

Gray put all jokes aside and went on to ask if Brady can really contemplate retirement at this point.

“Not really,” the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback replied.

“I think what I really realized last year was that you have to be really sure about doing that.

And for me, you know, a lot of people have been through this situation.

… I'm going to take my time whenever that time comes.”

Travelers from China will be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival in Japan starting December 30, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced Tuesday.

All travelers who have been to mainland China or have a travel history there within a 7-day period will be tested.

Anyone who tests positive will have to quarantine for 7 days and undergo further testing.

Indian authorities will implement similar guidelines.

Travelers from China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Bangkok will be required to undergo a PCR test upon arrival in India and quarantine if they test positive, Indian Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said.

The guidelines are aimed at ensuring that Covid-19 does not spread rapidly as it has in China, Mandaviya said.

In Italy, officials in the Lombardy region have asked the health agency responsible for Malpensa International Airport to carry out a PCR test for all arrivals from China with immediate effect and until January 30, 2023, according to a website of the Italian government. Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The directive only applies to Malpensa airport and not nationally.

China announced on Monday the easing of its border control, ending a nearly three-year quarantine requirement for arrivals and lifting a ban on outbound tourism for its citizens.

The authorities said that the number of international passenger flights will increase.

The announcements come as a wave of covid-19 infections is sweeping through China.

Since the country drastically eased its covid restriction measures earlier this month, there has been no clear data on the extent of the virus's spread nationwide.

But several cities and provinces have said they were seeing tens of thousands of new cases a day.

Former South Korean President Lee Myung-bak was pardoned by current President Yoon Suk Yeol on Tuesday, Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon said at a briefing.

"From the broad perspective of national unity, we are especially forgiving of former President Lee Myung-bak, whose health has deteriorated due to age and prison life," Han said Tuesday.

Lee served as president from 2008 to 2013. He was sentenced to 17 years in prison for corruption in 2020. Lee had been on provisional release since June for health reasons.

Lee is the fourth former president to be jailed in South Korea.

Former President Park Geun-hye, who was serving a 22-year prison term for corruption, was pardoned in 2017 by Yoon's predecessor.
