Finally another Christmas exhibition in Weßling: 25 artists exhibited at the weekend in the Pfarrstadl.

Many dedicate themselves to art part-time and create paintings, photographs or sculptures with enormous appeal.

Weßling -

"Great exhibition", a visitor praised the organizer Konstanze von Rebay.

After more than 60 years, the Christmas exhibition is an institution in Wessling.

By 2019, she was a fixture in the diary.

Then Corona came and the event was canceled twice.

It was only in October that von Rebay decided to resume and spontaneously generated 25 artists almost exclusively from Wessling.

The paintings of Kirsten Jaene, who died this year, got a wall.

She processed her lifelong suffering from a congenital heart defect in Acryl: The disease as a green monster that drives the yellow counterpart to despair.

Photographer Angela Reik captured the history of the family's new building.

In her photo, unplastered walls run in clear lines to four corners, while the light throws the windows onto the floor as geometric figures.

The simple clarity draws the viewer in.

The moment is also the model in the pictures of the pianist Wolfgang Leibnitz.

After a stay in the clinic in Großhadern, for example, when he roamed the garden with an IV trolley and sketched the building in bed.

Monika Stairs photographed memories of Iceland and worked out the intensive colors on the computer.

Svetlana Filkina paints part-time, but looks professional.

The dancer in “Balance”, for example, who gracefully builds a bridge.

Or the watercolor “Christmas Gift”, in which Mary tenderly cradles her child in the light of the star of Bethlehem.

Petra Risch abstracted her grandchildren in acrylic and Stefan Negele neatly reproduced the 24 faces of the women's national soccer team as a mosaic.

Jutta Müller devoted herself to Greek mythology in the paintings “Kairos and Chronos”.

The proverb "Grab opportunity by the forelock" is derived from Kairos, because the god of opportunity is so fast that you can only hold him by holding his front hair.

It took her years to implement this situation, reports Müller.

At some point, a clearly defined red dot flowed onto the canvas, which stands out from the rest of the picture - and is tangible like the hair of the Greek god.

Since her retirement, Angela Werner-Hildebrandt has dedicated herself to painting as part of her studies.

Excerpts of her work caught the eyes of the guests on the staircase.

Among them young Angela, who is staring cross-legged at a distant point with the camera on her lap.

Sand plays a major role in Konstanze von Rebay's paintings: thrown colored onto the aluminum plate, the powerful work "Ammersee im Sturm" acquires a multidimensionality.

Pro photographer Flo Hagena is back, documenting life on the beach and surfing in Malibu.

And regular guest Renate Kaiser burned the term "freedom" into clay: A colorful figure whose hands are tied with a necklace at the back if you look closely.
