The track of a spousal murder followed by a suicide is considered by the investigators.
On the day after Christmas, several Rouen scientific police cars are parked in front of the Normandy home of this retired couple in their sixties.
They were alerted in the morning, around 10:30 a.m., by relatives, worried about not having any more news.
When the police enter the home, they discover two bodies, that of a woman, probably killed by several stab wounds, then of a man, visibly hanged in the garage.
The couple were going through a divorce.
