Söder shows an old family photo - and reveals what has always been on the table at Christmas

Christmas has also arrived at the Söder house.
On Instagram, the Bavarian Prime Minister lets his fans participate with a child's photo.
Nuremberg – Christmas is a family celebration.
But also a lot of tradition and cherished rituals go hand in hand with Christmas Eve.
The Bavarian Prime Minister is no different.
Markus Söder spends the party at home in Nuremberg with his family and shares a 45-year-old photo with his Instagram fans.
Söder posts a family photo on Instagram and remembers his parents
In the family photo from the Söder house, which has developed a strong red cast over the years, you can see Papa Max, Mama Renate, sister Heike and little Markus.
In the picture, the current father of the country will not have been much older than ten years.
And so he also writes: "The picture is over 45 years old ... But no matter how much time passes, the traditions remain." And immediately afterwards the CSU boss explains what he means by that.
"Like every year, this morning I went to my parents' graves in the cemetery and then to the Christmas market in Nuremberg for the last time.
And after the presents we go to the service.”
In addition to his current Christmas ritual, Söder also reveals what his family traditionally has on Christmas Eve.
“My mother used to make red herring salad with eggs and apples at Christmas.
It is still prepared in the same way today.
Rituals are simply part of Christmas.” Last but not least, the CSU boss sends Christmas greetings to his followers.
“Today we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.
That's a wonderful message.
It gives courage and hope for the soul.
I wish you all a blessed Christmas with your families!”

Söder fan discovers resemblance to other CSU size
The down-to-earth attitude is well received by his fans.
Numerous congratulations reach the Prime Minister in the comment column.
"Thank you for the little private insight... Merry Christmas to you and your family!" It says, for example.
Another follower even adds the recipe for a successful herring salad.
Another discovered in Söder's father the resemblance to another CSU size.
"Da papa almost had a bit of a resemblance to Franz Josef Strauss." Probably great praise for today's CSU boss, since he always admired the former prime minister throughout his life.
