The documentary film “In the Footsteps of the Syrian Elders” began showing on the “Culture” TV channel of the State Company for Television and Radio Broadcasting of the All-Russian Federation.
The Director General of the Russian Culture Channel, Sergey Chumakov, confirmed in a statement to SANA reporter that the channel, which started showing the documentary yesterday, will continue showing until the 31st of this month, with the aim of introducing the Russian people to the depth and nobility of the Syrian civilization.
The film is shown in the form of episodes, the first episode of which included scenes and meetings, including a meeting with the Minister of Culture, Dr. Labana Mashouh, to introduce the material, cultural and spiritual historical heritage of Syria, which the Syrian land abounds with more than any other place in the world.
This episode dealt with the problem of encroachment on historical treasures by thieves and artifact dealers, and the destruction and devastation left by terrorism for this heritage, noting the importance of maintaining and guarding archaeological sites and working to restore what was destroyed to preserve it for future generations.
During the meetings, the speakers stressed that the material, cultural and spiritual historical heritage of Syria indicates that it is not only the cradle of human civilization, but also the starting point of the heavenly religions to the world.
