The suspect is Aslam Faroh, 26 years old from Kfar Akab in East Jerusalem, who was arrested six days after the attack on the factory where he worked in Mishor Adumim, but only today was anything revealed about his arrest.
The families of the two victims of the attack were informed yesterday of the deciphering of the attack by police and Shin Bet investigators. In the coming days, an indictment will be filed against him.
Foroh has a blue ID card and had no security history. His mother is from Abu Tor in East Jerusalem and his father is from Ramallah. He comes from a well-established family and is He recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. The investigation of the attack shows that Farouk planned the attacks alone. He adopted an extreme Islamist ideology advocated by ISIS and he learned through social networks how to make explosives and evade arrest.

The investigation also revealed that he set up a laboratory in an abandoned area in the Judean Desert.
He conducted experiments on it, obtained weapons and purchased a motorcycle, whose identity he obscured by painting it and defacing other identifying marks.
Around 6:00 a.m., he arrived on a motorcycle at the shuttle stations at the entrance to Jerusalem and Ramot Junction and placed the two charges that were planned to explode at the same time.
The charges, each weighing one and a half kilos, were activated by suspension mechanisms.
The first charge claimed the lives of two Israelis, while the second charge did not cause significant damage.
Another charge weighing five kg, which was later located near the scene where the motorcycle was located, was also supposed to be hit at the Ramot intersection and harm the security and rescue forces that arrived at the scene.
However, due to a malfunction in the mechanism, Farokh decided not to leave it at the station.
In the days following the attack, investigators from the Shin Bet and the Jerusalem District Attorney's Office, with the assistance of IDF forces, collected findings and evidence in order to trace the identity of the terrorist. At the end of the week after the attack, suspicious items hidden in the area, including the scooter, five pipe bombs, were located in an open area in Judea and Samaria. Various clothes that were used by the terrorist before during and after the attack, a helmet, etc. Following these findings and other investigative actions, the terrorist was located and at this stage he is the only suspect.
