Affected by the traffic accident, Causeway Road towards North Point was closed.
It is understood that at about 5:25, the police officers at the scene instructed another double-decker N619 Citybus to turn left at Yee Wo Street into Sugar Street, and then turn out of Gloucester Road to leave.
However, when the city bus reached the junction of Sugar Street and Gloucester Road, it did not turn left and continued to drive straight. Finally, the roof on the left side crashed into the bottom of the Gloucester Road flyover bridge. The roof and the upper front glass of the bus burst. Fortunately, no one was injured .
There is a 3.5-meter-high sign hanging at the bottom of the bridge at the scene, but the information shows that the double-decker bus involved is an Alexander Dennis Enviro 500, with a body height of about 4.4 meters, which is nearly 1 meter higher than the bridge bottom.
