Italy, which was the first country in Europe to be severely affected by the spread of the virus in February 2020, is now the first to take strict measures and impose mandatory tests on people arriving from the Asian country where the epidemic also broke out.
At the main airport in Milan, Malpensa, about two days ago they started testing passengers who arrived from Beijing and Shanghai, and according to the results - one out of two passengers is infected.
The Italian health minister did not say what measures would be imposed on travelers who test positive, but the heads of the country's local health institutions said those positive for the virus would be forced to enter quarantine in buildings assigned by the authorities.

The number of new cases and deaths from corona in the country is unknown because China has decided not to publish the daily count anymore.
According to data from the British data company Airfinity, there are now more than a million new cases and 5,000 deaths a day from corona.
Last week, Beijing reported 4,000 new daily corona cases and a few individual deaths.
