The Head of State retired for a few days to the presidential residence, on the Côte d'Azur, from where he remains on deck and "follows the files".

He often spends the truce of the confectioners there.

As revealed by

Nice Matin

, Emmanuel Macron retired to Fort de Brégançon, the presidential residence located on the Côte d'Azur, off Bormes-les-Mimosas (Var).

A holiday resort which does not however prevent him from staying on deck: “

He follows the files and prepares for the start of the school year

, indicates his entourage to AFP.

Brégançon, like the Élysée, is a place of work and crisis management

”.

If his relatives refuse to give any details on the duration of the presidential stay in the Southeast, Emmanuel Macron should, in all likelihood, be back in Paris by Saturday at the latest.

The Head of State must indeed pronounce his traditional "wishes to the French", which will be broadcast on radio and television at 8 p.m.

An exercise to which he will comply for the sixth consecutive time since his first election in 2017.

This speech should be an opportunity to address the projects to come in 2023, starting with the pension reform, the content of which the government must unveil on January 10.

A highly sensitive issue, which comes on top of several other difficulties, including the threat of power cuts due to the energy crisis linked to the war in Ukraine, inflation which continues to weigh on households and businesses, the pursuit labor market reforms, reflection on the end of life or those around the health system and National Education.
