Prosecutors say DePape stormed into the apartment where Pelosi was alone and yelled, "Where's Nancy?"

She was in Washington DC

Pelosi was wounded in the head multiple times and suffered a fractured skull, as well as other "serious injuries" to her right arm and hands.

He underwent surgery that was "successful."

Police said they found ropes to tie up in Pelosi's bedroom and in the hallway near the front door of the house.

In DePape's backpack, they said, they also found "a roll of duct tape, white rope, a hammer, a pair of rubber and cloth gloves, and a newspaper."

DePape allegedly told police in an interview after his arrest that he was going to

" and "break her knees."
