Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu decided today (Wednesday) to appoint MK Miri Regev to the position of Minister of Transportation.
This will be Regev's second term in office.
Also, as first published in "Israel Hayom", Miri Regev will be given responsibility for the Committee on Symbols and Ceremonies.
Regev had already chaired the committee in the past and was at the center of public storms, including a clash with the then Speaker of the Knesset, Yuli Edelstein, over her demand that he not attend the beacon ceremony on Mount Herzl, and a demand from former President Rivlin not to attend the Memorial Day ceremony due to the corona restrictions imposed at the time and more.

It decides on the nature and choice of topics that are at the center of important national ceremonies such as the Independence Day ceremony, the Remembrance Day ceremony, and more.
