The Torah Judaism party officially signed a coalition agreement with the Likud party this morning (Wednesday).

This, in preparation for the inauguration of the sixth Netanyahu government, which is expected to take place tomorrow.

The signing took place at the end of long days of internal confrontations between the two factions that make up the party, the Torah Flag and the Agudat Israel.

According to the agreement document of the Agudath Israel faction with the Likud, which was published a few days ago and has almost 140 clauses - the agreement gives Torah Judaism the right of veto on matters of religion and state.

In addition, it includes commitments to budgets for ultra-Orthodox education, an increase in yeshiva budgets and allowances for widows, the cancellation of the previous government's reforms in kosher, cell phones, and disposable utensils, a law overruling by the Supreme Court regarding the women of the Western Wall, and a commitment to amend the grandson section of the Law of Return - despite Netanyahu's statement this month that The return law will not change.

It was also agreed that the government will work to correct cases where the status quo has been eroded in the field of Shabbat, to change the law against discrimination in the public sector so that incidents of segregation are not considered prohibited discrimination, and to promote actions to ban the introduction of leaven into hospitals.

The agreement also includes commitments to budgets and programs in the areas of employment, housing and transportation in the ultra-orthodox sector.

With the publication of the clauses of Agudat Israel's agreement with the Likud, the Degel Torah faction sent a scathing letter to Prime Minister-designate Binyamin Netanyahu, demanding to reopen the coalition negotiations.

The party was outraged that the Likud had signed a separate agreement with Agudat Israel - as well as the appointment of Agudat Israel's chairman-designate Housing Minister Yitzhak Goldknopf as a member of the political and security cabinet.

We were surprised to hear that yesterday a coalition agreement was signed by Agudat Israel," they wrote in a letter signed by Yo R. Degel HaTorah Moshe Gafni and the other members of the party." This, despite the fact that there were fundamental issues between us before we discussed them and we did not come to an agreement on them!

Apart from that, we "discovered" appendices that were attached to the signed agreement, including things that we objected to during the negotiations, and even positions and memberships in bodies that were denied to this day by the order of our rabbi." The Likud have not yet addressed the letter or reached final agreements with Degel Torah - following their demand for changes.
