A flood of accidents occurred on Tuesday on the A9 near Ingolstadt.

At times nothing went in either direction.

There were several injured.

Ingolstadt – Yesterday, Tuesday, December 27th, was not a good day for motorists.

At least if you wanted to pass Ingolstadt on the A9.

Three accidents paralyzed traffic for hours and claimed several injuries.

A flood of accidents on the A9: First a collision, then a traffic jam, then another collision

The first crash was around 10 a.m.

In slow rush hour traffic, a 24-year-old from North Rhine-Westphalia drove in the left lane in the direction of Munich, the police write.

About two kilometers after the Ingolstadt Süd junction on the A9, he had to brake his Golf due to the traffic situation.

A 69-year-old Hesse behind him saw this too late.

He drove his BMW 420 into the Golf.

Only the 67-year-old co-driver of the Hessian was injured in the accident.

She had to be taken to the hospital in Ingolstadt.

According to the police, the property damage was around 10,000 euros.

The left and middle lanes had to be closed for over an hour and a half to recover the BMW, which was no longer drivable.

Only about 15 minutes later it cracked a second time.

This time the previous accident was the trigger.

Because at the end of the traffic jam, about 500 meters after the Ingolstadt Süd junction, a 48-year-old Hessian had to brake his VW T6 bus completely.

A 31-year-old from Lower Franconia driving behind him in his VW Passat also managed to brake abruptly.

However, a 29-year-old from Upper Franconia with his Opel recognized the situation too late and pushed the Passat onto the VW bus.

Accident in the direction of Nuremberg: A9 completely closed

Six people were injured in the collision this time, police said.

The occupants of the VW bus and the Passat then needed immediate medical help.

The 29-year-old Opel driver and his 28-year-old companion had to be taken to a hospital.

The property damage was around 40,000 euros.

All three vehicles were no longer drivable and had to be towed away.

The left and middle lanes remained closed for about an hour.

In the meantime, it was backed up to the Lenting junction.

At 1 p.m. it rattled a third time.

This time on the A9 towards Nuremberg.

The accident happened about one and a half kilometers before the Ingolstadt Nord junction, the police write.

A 53-year-old from Baden-Württemberg drove his MAN truck in the right lane.

However, he came with his tractor into the middle lane, where at the time a 48-year-old from Lower Franconia was with his 5-series BMW.

The two vehicles collided and the BMW was thrown to the left against the median barrier.

He slammed into it, bounced back, and came to a stop in the middle lane.

The BMW driver suffered minor injuries in the collision.

The three occupants in the back seat, a four-year-old child, a 14-year-old and a 21-year-old also suffered minor injuries.

The 48-year-old passenger was even seriously injured.

The victims of the accident were taken to an Ingolstadt clinic by ambulance.

Overall, property damage was around 25,000 euros.

First, the entire lane in the direction of Nuremberg had to be closed.

After about a quarter of an hour, the right lane was released.
