"I can't stand it": ZDF viewers appalled by the new "Traumschiff" episode

The Christmas episode takes the dream ship to the Maldives.

But with many ZDF viewers, the latest dream ship edition with Captain Florian Silbereisen falls through mercilessly.

Maldives – On Boxing Day, the dream ship set sail again and kidnapped the ZDF viewers to the Maldives.

Christmas in bright sunshine on the white beach - and with a top-class cast, what could be nicer?

A lot, at least some dream ship fans think.

Family dramas on the ZDF dream ship

Dream ship captain Max Parger (Florian Silbereisen) has his hands full again.

After all, it's Christmas and, as is well known, many people's nerves are on edge.

This is also the case on the dream ship: a patchwork family has to struggle with uninvited visitors, the meter-high Christmas tree they brought with them does not really fit on the dream ship, a 12-year-old falls in love with his older stepsister.

She wants to save the climate but leaves the board and has to be rescued.

In addition, there are erection and marital problems as far as the eye can see, heavily pregnant women who have to give birth on a lonely island (fortunately, Max Parger proves to be not only a competent captain, but also a shrewd obstetrician).

And to make matters worse, he also has to mend the dispute between two brothers, played by Wayne Carpendale and Luke Mockridge.

Because of the latter, this dream ship episode was not shown in 2021 as originally planned.

ZDF viewers tear up a new dream ship episode

In the end, of course, all problems were solved, not least thanks to the self-sacrificing dedication of the captain and the active support of star violinist David Garrett.

He was actually doomed to lead through the bingo evening on the dream ship, but finally picked up the violin and fiddled the previously quarreling families together.

However, the new dream ship episode is not well received online.

Especially on Twitter, there is once again a lot of storming against the show.

"How do the locals actually have their children when no Germans are passing by?" asks a viewer.

"Dream ship - where every marriage is saved and none is divorced," jokes another.

"Whoever wrote that absolutely predictable 'Child is born on Christmas' story should never be allowed to work for television again," says the third.

Whether “90 minutes of continuous heat is unbearable”, “the subject of the pollution of the world’s oceans with eight plastic bottles floating around and then boarding the cruise ship back to Germany” or “confusing dialogues, strange guest appearances, mysterious plots” and “worst episode ever "- the latest dream ship episode was heavily criticized on the net.

In the last episode, the dream ship went to cold Lapland.

Finally, Captain Max Parger was able to warm up a bit in the sauna.

Captain Max Parger only dressed in a towel - a real highlight for many dream ship fans.

However, there was no trace of Florian Silbereisen's Helene Fischer tattoo.
